About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a skilled Field Service Representative to join our team. As a Field Service Representative, you will be responsible for executing service work at customer sites, delivering according to Hitachi Energy standards while adhering to the Health and Safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform transformer installation and maintenance activities
  • Conduct electrical testing of transformers, including power factor, ratio, resistance, insulation resistance, and SFRA
  • Operate and maintain transformer oil processing rigs
  • Ensure all site work is performed to meet proper safety requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and engineering
  • Review and analyze technical specifications prior to starting work
  • Participate in department administrative tasks and follow scheduling and administrative procedures
  • Prepare customer reports on testing and site work performed

Requirements

  • A trade education, college, or university diploma/degree/trade in a technical field (electrical, mechanical, etc.)
  • Electrical field service experience with a minimum of 3 years experience or other relevant substation/transformer experience
  • Valid Canadian driver's license and driver's record acceptable to the Government of BC, AB, SK, and MB
  • Ability to work in different working conditions and hours of work
  • Willingness to travel for development and maintain a valid passport for international travel
  • Mid-level computer operation skills, including word processing, database programs, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and Department utilized software application programs
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral
