About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Romers Burger Bar - Port Moody. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training programs for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and train cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and service.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, including specialty dishes and meals for special guests or functions.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to maintain our high standards.
  • Plan menus and ensure that all food meets our quality standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our customers.
  • Work closely with our management team to ensure that our kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Equivalent experience in a related field.
