Job Summary

Health Careers in Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will provide a full range of clinical mental health services to children and adolescents, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intake, assessment, and formulation of treatment plans
  • Conduct therapy with individuals, families, and groups
  • Travel throughout the Health Region to meet client and program needs
Requirements
  • Clinical experience in a mental health setting
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) or Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree
  • Registration/eligibility with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
  • Knowledge of community resources and services in the clinical area
  • Knowledge of applicable Acts
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to identify, implement, and evaluate areas of client difficulty
  • Ability to provide public education regarding children/youth mental health issues
  • Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies
  • Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge in harm reduction in Addictions Medicine
  • Ability to work and communicate in a cross-cultural setting
  • Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques
