Seeking a skilled Social Worker to provide clinical mental health services to children and adolescents, and their families, in a community case management setting.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Mental Health & Addictions Services, the incumbent will provide a full range of clinical mental health services to children and adolescents, and their families. Duties include intake, assessment and formulation of treatment plans, therapy with individuals, families and groups. Travel throughout the region is required.

  • Provide clinical mental health services to children and adolescents, and their families.

  • Travel throughout the region to meet client and program needs.
Requirements
  • Clinical experience in mental health setting.
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) or Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree.
  • Membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW).

Knowledge and Abilities
  • Knowledge of community resources and services in the clinical area.

  • Knowledge of various intervention strategies for individuals and groups.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner.
  • Knowledge of community programs and services.
  • Knowledge of recovery philosophy.
  • Ability to respond under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty.
  • Ability to provide public education regarding children/youth mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies.
  • Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction in Addictions Medicine.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a cross-cultural setting.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HSAS membership as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
