Data Center Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Security Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Infrastructure Physical Security Team, you will be responsible for driving operational security excellence in a control room setting.
As a Data Center Security Specialist, you will provide support to on-site security and other customers by completing virtual security tasks via a chat/phone system. Your vigilance will drive a culture of quality, support, and proactive identification of physical security vulnerabilities for remediation.
Key Responsibilities- Support Daily Operations: Complete virtual security tasks involving security systems and access control to ensure the safety and security of our data centers.
- Drive Security Awareness: Develop and implement security awareness campaigns to enhance security vigilance and effectiveness.
- Security Investigations: Lead security investigations across campus facilities to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Performance Metrics: Extract and analyze data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security operations.
- Professional Experience: 1+ year of experience working in a standards-based professional work environment.
- Data Analysis: 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a control room setting environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communications skills in a professional work setting.
- Education: Associates degree or higher and/or equivalent professional experience in corporate or government security environment.
- Security Experience: 2+ years of experience working in a security related field with electronic security systems.
- Root-Cause Analysis: 2+ years of root-cause analysis experience.
- Security Program Automation: Familiarity with security program automation and implementation.
