Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Security Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Infrastructure Physical Security Team, you will be responsible for driving operational security excellence in a control room setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Daily Operations: Provide virtual security support to on-site security and other customers by completing tasks via a chat/phone system.
  • Security Systems Management: Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction development of performance metrics.
  • Security Investigations: Lead investigations across campus facilities.
  • Flexibility: May be tasked with working different shifts, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
  • Data Analysis: 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance.
  • Technical Skills: 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Access Control Systems: Familiarity with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a control room setting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Associates degree or higher and/or equivalent professional experience in corporate or government security environment.
  • Reporting and Writing: 2+ years of experience writing detailed reports.
  • Security Experience: 2+ years of working in a security related field with electronic security systems.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: 2+ years of root-cause analysis experience.
  • Security Program Automation: Familiarity with security program automation and implementation.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to interpret program objectives, develop project schedules and manage adherence to established timetables.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security standards and policies.
