Job Title: Automation Technical Sales Specialist

Westburne is a leading provider of energy solutions, renewables, lighting, wire & cable, automation, and connected network solutions. We are seeking an experienced Automation Technical Sales Specialist to join our team in Sudbury, Ontario.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to represent our Rockwell Automation portfolio of products and services. As an Automation Technical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our customers and partners in Northern Ontario with in-depth technical and application knowledge. Your primary focus will be on sales performance, account planning, and execution, as well as providing technical solutions and support to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an annual strategic business plan for sales development.
  • Act as a pre-sale technical consultant to provide technical solutions to customers.
  • Provide post-sale technical support to build the competency and confidence of customers.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product updates.
  • Attend supplier partner training to maintain a high level of specialized product and application knowledge.
  • Implement strategies to address competition and expand market penetration using available marketing tools.
Requirements:
  • Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2-years of previous experience in automation or technical product sales/support.
  • Understanding of sales principles such as Strategic Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc.
  • Technical understanding of electrical circuits and industrial automation.
  • Product and application knowledge of Rockwell Automation Controllers, HMI's, and software.
  • Valid driver's license and passport required for this position.
