Job Title: Automation Technical Sales Specialist

Westburne is a leading provider of energy solutions, renewables, lighting, wire & cable, automation, and connected network solutions. We are seeking an experienced Automation Technical Sales Specialist to join our team in Sudbury, Ontario.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to represent our Rockwell Automation portfolio of products and services. As an Automation Technical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting internal and external customers with in-depth technical and application knowledge. You will also be responsible for sales performance within your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and execute an annual strategic business plan for sales development.
  • Develop and execute commercial activities as part of an annual strategic business plan.
  • Actively manage an opportunity funnel to achieve sales objectives.
  • Support Westburne and Rockwell Automation sales representatives with account planning and execution.
  • Provide pre-sale technical consulting services to customers.
  • Offer post-sale technical support to build customer competency and confidence.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product updates.
  • Attend supplier partner training to maintain specialized product and application knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Educational background in Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automation or technical product sales/support.
  • Understanding of sales principles such as Strategic Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc.
  • Technical understanding of electrical circuits and industrial automation.
  • Product and application knowledge of Rockwell Automation Controllers, HMI's, and software.
  • Ability to accurately interpret single-line electrical drawings.
  • Understanding of industrial networking and Ethernet I/P.
