Senior Corrosion Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corrosion Technologist to join our team at Corrpro Canada. As a key member of our corrosion control team, you will be responsible for planning and performing testing and field surveys for corrosion and corrosion protection systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and perform testing and field surveys for corrosion and corrosion protection systems
- Work with senior staff to evaluate test results and install cathodic protection systems on various structures
- Conduct field surveys to gather data for evaluation of corrosion and corrosion control
- Execute pipeline and tank integrity testing
- Perform testing of corrosion prevention systems, including cathodic protection, protective coatings, AC/DC interference, and corrosion monitoring
- Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements, and rectifier data
- Diagnose and develop recommended remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
- Write survey reports for review by an engineer
- Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings
- Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent addition of detail
- Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables
- Assemble and analyze data for preparation of final client report, including recommendations
- Prepare survey reports and final job reports for review
- Assist manager in appraising employee performance and related matters
- Act as direct interface with customer as needed
- Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal
- AMPP/NACE CP Technologist (CP III), CIP II, or working towards them
- 10 years corrosion control experience, including training and managing technicians
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Strong team and internal customer service skills required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, with ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
- Valid Driver's License with good driver's abstract
- Ability to lift 50 pounds/22 kg on a regular basis
- Ability to travel overnight and work overtime
