Job Summary
We are seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to operate facility systems, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, routine services on facility mechanical and other systems for assigned facilities within company policy and trade certification limits. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices and complying with internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, security, and fire protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Install air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and components.
- Overhaul and service air conditioning, heating units, and systems.
- Repair, replace, and adjust worn or broken parts HVAC equipment.
- Repair and adjust valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heating and air conditioning units and systems.
- Install motors, thermostats, and humidistats.
- Perform work in accordance with established processes and practices.
- Comply with all internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, fire protection.
- Respond to routine and on-demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities at assigned facilities.
- Maintain accurate inventory of assigned tools/equipment and arrange for repair and replacement where required.
Requirements
- College Diploma/Certification required.
- Experience as a licensed HVAC/Refrigeration Technician required.
- Ability to maintain building mechanical and other system troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Current knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards.
- Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset.
- Able to perform work in a safe manner.
- Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.
- Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
- Journeyperson HVAC/Refrigeration Ticket required. Gasfitter B ticket considered a strong asset.
- Driver License Required.
