Heavy Equipment Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at GAT Airline Ground Support. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment, including vehicles and ground support equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and ground support equipment
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment
- Install new and added-on equipment
- Conduct first, second, and third-line repairs and modifications on vehicles
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Assist in ordering replacement parts and supplies
- Work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
Requirements:
- Completion of college or vocational training in a related field
- Red Seal Certification (3IOS or 3IOT) preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the trade
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada
- Obtain a clear criminal record
- Ability to obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances
