Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist

As one of ADESA Canada's 14 wholesale vehicle auctions across Canada, OPENLANE / ADESA Vancouver is an employer of choice in the Canadian automotive remarketing industry. They have a part-time, permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to work 20-25 hours per week.
The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of maintenance experience and can multi-task while staying organized and professional. If you're a self-starter, mature, and self-motivated individual who can work independently and with a team, then this could be the perfect fit.
Job Details- Position: Facility Maintenance Technician
- Type: Permanent Part-Time
- Hours: To be determined, based on operation demands. Varies between Mondays-Saturdays 100% on-site
- Hourly Compensation: $17.40-$19.00
This Maintenance Technician will maintain the building interior and exterior by completing minor janitorial duties. They will also ensure all buildings are in good working condition, maintaining building equipment, water treatment facility, operations equipment, and machinery by following a maintenance schedule consisting of inspection, cleaning, and replacement of defective or used parts.
The role involves ensuring the maintenance of the lot and parking lots, completing lawn and surrounding landscape maintenance, and removing trash. The successful candidate will monitor equipment and parts to identify current and future requirements and place orders. They will also ensure equipment, electrical, plumbing, and heating are operational by conducting regular inspections and completing minor repairs.
Responsibilities may include snow and ice removal from the lots and walkways, monitoring inventory levels and placing orders, and cleaning the auction lanes on non-sale days. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician may assist the Lot team in loading vehicles into trailers and ensure the lot is maintained properly.
Requirements- Previous maintenance experience required

- Must be a self-starter and take initiative
- Ability to work independently
- Heavy lifting required
- Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract completed and cleared by ADESA is mandatory
