About Elm Hurst Inn & Spa

We are a luxurious resort seeking an experienced Dining Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food service department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement effective operational plans to meet work schedules, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality food and services.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, requisitioning food and kitchen essentials as needed to maintain optimal levels.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of food preparation staff, providing guidance on sanitation, safety procedures, and job duties.
  • Foster a positive team environment by training staff members in their roles, promoting teamwork, and encouraging open communication.
  • Recruit and hire qualified food service staff, prioritizing candidates with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain quality control standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Develop and manage budgets, preparing cost estimates and reports to inform business decisions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, using data to inform operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute events, conferences, and other activities that promote the resort's brand and reputation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Benefits
