About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Grab and Go Indian Kitchen. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all supplies are properly labeled and stored.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and assist with food preparation as needed.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of activity and pressure.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Repetitive Tasks: The role involves repetitive tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing, and may require standing for long periods of time.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Training: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
