We are seeking a skilled Child Development Coordinator to join our team at Family Services of Greater Vancouver. This is a part-time permanent position working 17.5 hours per week.

About the Role

As a Child Development Coordinator, you will work with families and children to provide support and resources to promote healthy development and well-being. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing plans to meet those needs, and coordinating services to achieve desired outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child development, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments of client needs and develop individualized plans to address those needs
  • Provide guidance and support to families on strategies for promoting healthy child development
  • Coordinate services with other agencies and community partners to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A college diploma or degree in a related field, such as child development, social work, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and families in a support capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Certification in areas such as crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, or other relevant areas would be an asset
