Critical Care Nurse

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit. As a member of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment, providing excellent patient and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a culturally sensitive and supportive manner.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in unit quality initiatives and measurement, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- 1-2 years of experience in an acute medical or surgical care unit, preferably in critical care.
- Current BCLS and ACLS certification.
- Completion of Critical Care Certificate, required (or completion within 6 months from hire).
- Ability to speak another language is an asset.
