Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Holcim Participations (Australia) Pty Ltd. As a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions, we are committed to enabling greener cities, smarter infrastructure, and improving living standards around the world.
About the Opportunity:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join our high-performing team and contribute to our world-leading business. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be instrumental in developing, refining, and rolling out both existing and new payroll processes, ensuring seamless operations across the payroll function.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll service delivery, processing, and assisting in the weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles.
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers, fostering improvement opportunities.
- EOM (End of Month), including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Third Party payments, and year-end activities.
- Conducting testing for necessary upgrades or system patches.
- Assisting with establishing robust payroll processes and improving existing processes.
About You:
You will be a self-motivated and outcome-oriented payroll professional with a passionate 'can-do' adaptable mindset. In addition to this, you'll be analytical, numbers-driven, and detail-focused, with a love for challenges.
Requirements:
- A Business or Payroll Administration qualification would be advantageous.
- Credible End-to-End payroll processing experience ideally within large, complex, and high-volume environments.
- Previous experience in Chris21 (iChris) system.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of Industrial Awards/Enterprise Agreements (preferable).
- Advanced proficiency in use of Excel.
- Be a demonstrated initiative-taker with capability to take ownership of tasks.
- A team player with a positive and energetic outlook.
- Demonstrated experience working within the following systems: Google, Kronos/Dimensions (UKG), ServiceNow, SuccessFactors.
