About the Opportunity

The Health Support Aide plays a vital role in the healthcare team, providing daily care and support to patients/clients with activities of daily living. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing basic care and support under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals
  • Assisting with daily routines and activities
  • Supporting patients/clients with mobility and transfer needs

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team. If you have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.

About You

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Grade 12 education
  • Previous related experience or education an asset
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures an asset
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention training preferred
  • Relevant first aid and first responder training an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients/clients, hospital staff, and the public
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates accountability, collaboration, and teamwork skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Casual Relief position
  • Shifts include days, nights, and weekends
Compensation and Benefits

$20.02 hourly
