About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at La Mexicanada Restaurante Corp. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare menus, estimate food requirements, and determine portion sizes and costs.
  • Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and training staff in food preparation and handling.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory, and record food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including organizing buffets and banquets.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Restaurant environment, with a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
