About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at My roti place My dosa place. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Plan and prepare menus that showcase the flavors and ingredients of South Indian cuisine.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that they are presented to the highest standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that the kitchen is clean and well-organized.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
