Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Leela Indian Food Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events and determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory and records
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and ensure a welcoming work environment for all employees
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a inclusive work environment
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, and provide awareness training to employees
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
