Job Title: Emergency Response Coordinator
The City of Lethbridge is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Emergency Response Coordinator. This position is responsible for processing and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls, providing assistance and instruction to callers, and performing various support duties related to the 24-hour operations of a Public Safety Communications Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls
- Provide assistance and instruction to callers using established procedures and protocols
- Perform various support duties related to the 24-hour operations of a Public Safety Communications Centre
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Skills in entering and retrieving data, and typing a minimum of 40 words per minute
- Working knowledge of Hexagon CAD systems and IAED Protocol Software
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants must consent to and pass a police security clearance
- Applicants must be at least 1 year clear of any detected or undetected criminal activity
Working Conditions:
- Hours will vary depending on operational requirements
- Ability and availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak vacation periods
