As a Clinical Nursing Practica Coach at the University of Regina, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing, supervising, and mentoring nursing students in various practice education settings throughout the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) program. This position requires a unique blend of clinical expertise, teaching skills, and interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Instruct and supervise nursing students in practice education settings, including community and lab/seminar environments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and progression towards course competencies and learning outcomes.
- Determine student practice education assignments, provide instruction, evaluate student progress, and offer support within the agency during research time.
- A practicing membership in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) and/or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS).
- CPR BLS Provider or BLS (HCP) certification must be current within two years.
- TLR certification must be current within three years.
- Mask fit testing must be current within three years.
- A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing is required.
- A minimum of two years recent and relevant experience as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse is necessary.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- The ability to apply theory, practices, and principles of adult education is required.
- Facilitation and interaction in small groups by leading, modelling, and teaching are also required.
The estimated salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The salary includes an attractive benefits package, which includes paid time off, health and dental insurance, and retirement savings plan.
