Job Summary

The Restaurant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring seamless service delivery and optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory management.
  • Hire and develop food service staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, upholding our reputation for excellence.
  • Prepare food order summaries for our chef, facilitating efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, guaranteeing prompt and accurate service.
  • Establish work schedules, balancing staff needs with operational requirements.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with relevant vocational training or certifications an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform other physical demands associated with the role.

Language and Work Environment

This position requires excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. You will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, interacting with customers, staff, and suppliers. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and performing other tasks associated with the role.

Work Schedule

You will work approximately 32-40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A flexible schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
