About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at 2847764 Ontario Limited. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Detailed Estimates: Develop and present comprehensive estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
  • Pre-Qualification Submissions: Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate estimates and timely project delivery.
  • Cost Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenditures and ensure compliance with budgets.
  • Supply Chain Management: Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
  • Internal Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal records, including project files and financial reports.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes, and maintain high standards of quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in construction estimation or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in AutoCAD and other computer software systems.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Office-based with regular site visits.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel, with a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
