Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients within the Operating Room, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their surgical experience.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and psycho-social needs, identifying problems and developing effective care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including scrubbing and circulating duties, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and research, identifying patient care issues and collecting data to inform best practices.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide comprehensive patient care, promoting person-centered care and patient advocacy.
- Operate related equipment, including computer applications, and maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- One year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the Operating Room, with completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
- Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area, with the ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
