Job Summary

This role involves delivering exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying their needs, and providing guidance on financial solutions that best suit them.

Working collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners, you will strive to deliver a seamless customer experience and contribute to achieving overall business objectives.

  • You will identify customer needs and refer them to relevant BMO colleagues when necessary.
  • Support customers with banking services, including handling transactions and addressing their queries in person.
  • Welcome customers warmly and efficiently meet their banking needs.
  • Advise and guide customers on digital and self-serve options, aiming to make banking with BMO easy, simple, and fast.
  • Review customer profiles and engage them in a conversation to identify potential opportunities and address everyday banking plans and credit card needs.
  • Contribute to meeting branch business results and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Support operational activities, such as inventory management, escalated service requests, following up on customer applications, filing, opening, and closing tasks.
  • Manage, load, and reconcile cash transactions between treasury and various branch units.
  • Execute routine tasks within relevant service level agreements.
  • Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.
  • Understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.
  • Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Find creative approaches to make each customer's experience feel personalized.
  • Look for ways to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the overall branch customer experience.
  • Contribute to business results and the overall experience delivered in the branch.
  • The role may involve working at multiple branches based on market needs, with varying schedules, days worked, hours, and shifts.
  • Foster a risk-free environment by adhering to risk and compliance processes and policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of the wider financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory requirements, and our commitment to ethical standards.
  • Stay current with personal banking products, practices, and trends to effectively advise customers.
  • Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity suspected to be related to money laundering.
  • Comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
  • Protect the Bank's assets in accordance with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience is required; however, post-secondary education or certification in a related field is desirable.
  • Demonstrate high-level knowledge of personal, commercial, and partner offers and how they can best serve individual customer needs.
  • Show confidence and experience in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
  • Develop skills in helping customers who struggle with digital applications to gain confidence and understanding of their benefits.
  • Project a professional presence.
  • Acknowledge basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.
  • Display a passionate commitment to helping customers.
  • Foster a focus on delivering a personalized experience to customers.
  • Be a resourceful self-starter with courage and confidence to approach customers.
  • Show readiness to collaborate and adapt to different roles as part of a team.

Compensation: $33,850.00 - $43,500.00 per year

Pay Type: Salaried
