Overview

FBC Farm and Small Business Tax Consultants is seeking an experienced Local Tax and Member Services Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their financial situations and provide tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in both the short and long term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to FBC members, ensuring they meet their tax obligations and take advantage of available deductions and credits.
  • Foster strong relationships with FBC members and secure referrals by delivering exceptional customer service and providing value-added advice.
  • Recognize member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network, helping them access a range of services including bookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals.
  • Participate in community events to build brand awareness and establish FBC as a trusted advisor in the local business community.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with a tax preparation or accounting firm. You should have proficiency in tax preparation & accounting software, preferably with Taxprep and Xero, and experience preparing tax returns for farms, small businesses, and corporations.

  • SUPERIOR client service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and deliver exceptional results.
  • EXCELLENT verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts to clients.
  • PROVEN ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
