About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced hairstylist to join our team at A Plus Hair & Beauty Salon. As a hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality haircuts, styling, and coloring services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and they leave the salon satisfied.
  • Hairstyling: Cut, trim, and style hair according to client preferences, using a variety of techniques and products.
  • Coloring: Apply hair color, bleach, and other chemical treatments to achieve desired results.
  • Supervision: Supervise junior hairstylists and apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet salon standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and order supplies, ensuring the salon is well-stocked and efficient.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other stylists and salon staff to achieve team goals and provide a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the hairstyling industry.
  • Certifications: Barbering Trade Certification, Hairstylist Trade Certification, Barber Licence, and Hairstylist Licence.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manual dexterity.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: On-site customer service in a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
