About the Job

A Plus Hair & Beauty Salon is seeking a skilled Hairstylist to join our team. As a Hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, including cutting, trimming, and styling hair according to their preferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and they leave the salon satisfied.
  • Hairstyling: Cut, trim, and style hair using various techniques, including cutting, trimming, and coloring.
  • Supervision: Supervise junior hairstylists and apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the salon's standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and order supplies, ensuring the salon has the necessary products and equipment to operate efficiently.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other stylists and salon staff to achieve team goals and provide a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the hairstyling industry or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Barbering Trade Certification, Hairstylist Trade Certification, Barber Licence, and Hairstylist Licence.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

A Plus Hair & Beauty Salon is a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. The salon is located in a busy area with public transportation available.
