Job Summary:

The Traffic Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe flow of traffic in and around work zones, while adhering to industry standards and company policies. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with traffic control regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of traffic control devices, including signs and cones.
  • Communicate effectively with other workers, equipment operators, and drivers to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular hazard assessments to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Foreman to develop and implement traffic control plans.
Qualifications:
  • High-School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Flagger/Traffic Control Designation/Certification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in road construction or a related field.
Working Conditions:
  • Travel as required.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
