About the Role

The Gerontology Healthcare Professional will practice autonomously, offering primary health care services to our residents. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with Medical Directors, other physicians, and community services to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

The Gerontology Healthcare Professional will be responsible for:

  • Assessing patients' needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Providing primary health care services, including medical treatment and education
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A current certificate of competence as a Registered Nurse with Extended Class privileges with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • A Master's degree in Nursing (preferable)
  • Five years of experience in gerontology or a related field
  • Proven leadership abilities with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
