Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and tarping to prevent damage or loss.
  • Logistics: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional service and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all regulations and guidelines for transporting hazardous materials.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Willing to train, with a strong desire to learn and grow in the role.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate, with a flexible schedule to accommodate long haul routes.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with a large workload and repetitive tasks.
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver with Distance Freight Carrier INC., you will be working on the road, with a typical workweek ranging from 40 to 50 hours. You will be required to work overtime, but this will be compensated accordingly.

Language
