Long Haul Truck Driver

Optimum Truck Lines Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation
- Load and unload goods, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining effective communication
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- AZ class license
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Valid passport
- Criminal record check
- Medical exam
- International transportation experience
- Local transportation experience
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel cross-border
- Willingness to travel for extended periods
- Willingness to travel overnight
