Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Optimum Truck Lines Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining effective communication.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • International and local transportation experience.
  • Valid passport.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Medical exam.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, often working long hours and traveling across the country. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
