About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Seaspan as a Shipyard Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all shipbuilding projects meet the highest quality standards.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have 3-4 years' experience in complex manufacturing industry or equivalent combination of education and experience. They will also have a Diploma in relevant discipline (Electrical Engineering or Geomatics/equivalent Surveying measuring background preferred) or Red Seal Trades Certificates.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and customer service focus. They will also be able to develop Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Geomatics/equivalent Surveying measuring background preferred
  • Red Seal Trades Certificates
  • 3-4 years' experience in complex manufacturing industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical understanding of NDT techniques and their application to meet contract, regulatory and statutory requirements for trade specific systems will be an asset
  • Prior Quality/Accuracy Control or Quality Assurance experience is desirable
  • Formal quality assurance certifications desirable

Seaspan offers a competitive salary range of $82,700 - $99,200 per year, depending on the successful candidate's skillset and experience. Others

This is a limited term position with opportunities for extension depending on business needs. The role requires occasional travel to Victoria Shipyards.
