Job Title: Vice President, People and Culture

The Vice President, People and Culture is a strategic leader responsible for driving the YMCA of Northern Alberta's collective positioning as an employer of choice and a place to volunteer. This role provides leadership to the National Office, where the Vice President serves as the People and Culture lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a data-driven national strategy to improve the engagement and well-being of YMCA staff and volunteers.
  2. Implement the YMCA Leadership Development Framework to inspire, grow, and retain YMCA leaders.
  3. Develop and promote policies and practices that support an equitable workplace culture.
  4. Lead the People and Culture function at the National Office, except those functions and duties related to employee payroll and benefits.
  5. Develop and lead strategies to promote YMCA Canada culture and the engagement, recognition, appreciation, and well-being of its employees.
Requirements:
  1. University degree and relevant education/training in a related field, CHRL designation is considered an asset but not required.
  2. Minimum 10 years progressive related experience, including working in a leadership role.
  3. Possess superior leadership acumen and bring a strategic focus to the implementation of best practices.
