Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic team at Lyons Landscaping Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
  • Draft correspondence for past-due accounts and collections, identifying delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacting account holders to request payment.
  • Create reports on the current status of customer accounts as requested by management.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to reconcile accounts receivable on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate, manage, and clear Purchase Orders as projects progress, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Assist in generating monthly billing statements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts receivable as needed, maintaining a secure and organized filing system.
  • Support the Accounts Payable Clerk as required, providing assistance with tasks and projects.
  • Accounting Technician Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks Enterprise: Contractor Edition, and related software in areas of inventory, time management, and estimation.
  • Experience preparing payroll considered an asset, as well as experience performing Accounting duties in a Construction business.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
