Job Summary

About the Role

Dillon Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Development Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for managing land development projects and coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage land development projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather project requirements and develop project plans.
  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality results, meeting client expectations and project objectives.

Business Development

  • Contribute to business growth by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to pursue them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive business growth and project success.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Professional Development

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in professional associations and conferences to network and stay informed about industry developments.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in planning, geography, or a related field.
  • Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) or ability to attain within three years.
  • Minimum of five years of project management experience in the consulting industry.

Experience

  • Strong understanding of land use planning, sustainable community design, urban redevelopment, and planning policy.
  • Proven experience in land development planning projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of the development industry and the land development approval process, and municipal planning policy.
