Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Development Planner to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for managing projects and coordinating land development planning initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and coordinate land development planning projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationships, including proposal preparation, presentations, and networking.
  • Liaise with public agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Commit to the career development of staff, providing technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees, and periodic presentations at industry conferences.
  • Travel to other business locations and Dillon offices to execute responsibilities, develop client relationships, and research opportunities.
Requirements
  • A degree in planning, geography, or a related field, preferably at the Master's level.
  • Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI), or ability to attain within three years.
  • Minimum of five years of project management experience in the consulting industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of land use planning, sustainable community design, urban redevelopment, and planning policy.
  • Proven experience in land development planning projects.
  • Demonstrated exceptional abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Excellent knowledge of the development industry and land development approval process, and municipal planning policy.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
