Industrial Millwright - CNC Specialist

Seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright - CNC Specialist to join our team at Bevertec. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment, including CNC machines.

  • Performs repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment, including CNC machines, pumps, valves, electric and pneumatic actuators, motors, gears, hydraulics, mechanical drives, and other related equipment.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots equipment issues, making recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Interprets operating and maintenance manuals, diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinates and works with external contractors to perform maintenance and repairs, ensuring work is completed to regional standards and industry best practices.
  • Responds to emergency equipment failures, troubleshoots equipment, and diagnoses problems, identifying needed resources and making repairs or working with contractors to complete work.
  • Provides support services to the Special Project Group, assisting with project implementation and start-up and commissioning of equipment.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with colleagues, customers, and contractors through collaboration, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system to record work performed, source equipment parts, and modify and update work status as required.
  • Performs welding, pipe fitting, and rigging as required, and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures all work complies with safety standards and applicable codes.
  • Ensures the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 are conformed to.
  • Adheres to Bevertec's policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship.
  • Must possess a valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of practical experience is preferred.

Technical and Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, EAM Computerized Maintenance Management System, and other computerized systems is an asset.
  • Must possess a good understanding of safety practices as mandated under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Must have the ability to understand equipment manufacturers' schematic drawings to check equipment installation and repairs, interpret design drawings to validate and provide comments on proposed work, and interpret operating and maintenance (O&M) manuals to effectively check equipment installation and repairs.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, poor lighting conditions, material, products, and by-products associated with the manufacturing of powered metal components, exposure to metal working fluids, temperatures, and weather extremes that require the use of specialized protective devices, clothing, or equipment.
  • Required to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding to access elevations, able to crouch for periods of time, push, pull, lift, and turn while carrying tools, material, and equipment in various parts of the facility. Excessive walking. Operate material handling equipment, including cranes, lift trucks, chain hoists, etc.
