Industrial Millwright Specialist

About the Job:
This role offers a competitive salary of $42-$48 per hour, with opportunities for shift premiums and benefits. As an Industrial Millwright, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment, analyzing issues, and making recommendations for repairs or replacements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair pumps, valves, electric and pneumatic actuators, motors, gears, hydraulics, mechanical drives, speed reducers, and other related equipment.
- Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical and related equipment, recommending courses of action for repairs or replacements.
- Interpret O&M manuals, diagrams, schematics, prints, and recommend revisions.
- Organize and coordinate external contractors for maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with Regional Standards and industry best practices.
- Respond to emergency equipment failures, diagnose problems, and identify needed resources for repairs or contractor work.
- Provide support services to the Region's Special Project Group for project implementation, start-up, and commissioning of equipment.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and contractors through collaboration, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to record work performed, source equipment parts, equipment history, and update work status as required.
- Perform welding, pipe fitting, and rigging as required, and complete other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship.
- Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
- Three to five years of practical experience is preferred.

Work Environment:
- Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, poor lighting conditions, material, products, and by-products associated with metal component manufacturing.
- Required to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding to access elevations, able to crouch for periods, push, pull, lift, and turn while carrying tools, material, and equipment.
