Site Health and Safety Manager

Black & McDonald is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and site managers to ensure compliance with company, client, and government regulations.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Studies.
- 7-10 years of experience in a related field, preferably in construction.
- Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Valid Quebec Driver's License and security clearance requirements.
