We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team at Black & McDonald Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients on our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees and contractors on health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers and site managers to ensure effective implementation of the HSE management system.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans to ensure prompt response to incidents.
- Prepare and distribute HSE statistical reports to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
