About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Haliburton Highlands Health Services. This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients suffering from various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical radiation technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by radiologists or oncologists;
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient treatments and dosages;
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop effective treatment plans;
  • Conducting quality control checks on equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly;
  • Providing education and support to patients regarding their treatment options and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiation Technology;
  • Certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and/or a provincial or territorial association;
  • Experience an asset but not required;
  • Criminal record check;
  • Able to relocate for this position;
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
