National Clinical Practice Lead, Nursing Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Clinical Practice Lead, Nursing to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop nursing practice across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of national nursing practice standards and guidelines.
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing professionals across the country.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance nursing practice and improve health outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in a province or territory of Canada.
  • Recent experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating health interventions and/or programs in interdisciplinary practice settings.
  • Knowledge of legislation and policies that influence the delivery of health services within a correctional milieu.
  • Competencies in mobilizing people, upholding integrity and respect, collaborating with partners and stakeholders, promoting innovation and guiding change, achieving results, and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recognized bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, or other specialty relevant to the position.
  • Experience in managing financial or human resources, as a discipline-specific professional practice lead, providing services in a correctional environment, to culturally diverse or vulnerable populations, in a mental health environment, conducting research, establishing partnerships with community-based services.
