We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Pharmacy Services to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and operational management of Pharmacy Services in our assigned geographic area.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to Pharmacy Services teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure high-quality pharmacy services.
- Manage and oversee pharmacy operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Clinical Leadership
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff to ensure safe and effective medication management.
- Develop and implement clinical programs and services to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with medical and clinical staff to develop responsive pharmacy patient care programs.
- Quality Improvement
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to promote appropriate, timely, and safe medication management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and occupational health and safety programs.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including medical staff, patients, and families.
- Collaborate with other departments and organizations to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
- Active license in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC.
- Minimum 10 years of recent, related pharmacy management experience in an acute healthcare setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
