Commercial Account Manager Opportunity

BMS Canada Risk Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Commercial Account Manager to join our Ottawa branch. This role will focus on a mid-market book, specializing in construction risks, contractors, realty, and trucking clients in Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and communicate with Account Executives to develop strategies for renewals and new business.
  • Analyze client coverage, exposures, and loss experience to determine risk requirements and any gaps in coverage, communicating with the Account Executive and client accordingly.
  • Assist Account Executives with new business, preparing and processing submissions, applications, proposals, comparison charts, spreadsheets, binders, certificates of insurance, liability slips, invoicing, premium finance contracts, client letters, and letters of authorization.
  • Prepare and process renewal business, including remarketing submissions, proposals, presentations, comparison spreadsheets, binders, summaries, and certificates of insurance.
  • Periodically meet with clients, insurance companies, and colleagues in-person and virtually.
  • Report new claims and follow through to ensure everything is handled appropriately to the client's satisfaction, in conjunction with the Account Executive, which may include follow-ups with adjusters.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with insurance company underwriters, MGA's, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the commercial team to deliver strategic goals and vision of the brokerage.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Commercial Account Manager role (CSR).
  • Strong knowledge of the EPIC system and MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Monday to Friday hybrid work schedule.
  • Job Type: Full-time.
  • Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON K1S 5K5.
