The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Pension and Benefits Manager to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of Scotia Investments. As a key member of the HR team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the organization's pension and benefits strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pension and benefits strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with benefits providers and pension plan administrators to ensure smooth program execution.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to employees on pension and benefits matters.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and update pension and benefits policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian pension and benefits legislation and regulations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in pension and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with Canadian pension and benefits regulations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation is considered an asset.
