Job Summary

Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As an Echocardiography Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound services to patients, working effectively with healthcare professionals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography scans and related procedures as requested by physicians.
  • Manage patient flow, exam requests, and diagnostic file management.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards set by Accreditation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Charge Medical Technologist and other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to professional and provincial guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training program.
  • Registered Ultrasound Technologist with active registration with Sonography Canada and/or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiography Technologists (CAMRT) is an asset.
  • Proficient in Windows computer environment and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
  • Fluent language skills in both French and English may be required.
